Probability Language

Use likely, unlikely, certain, impossible, even chance and other probability vocabulary.

Worked example

A fair dice is rolled. Find P(rolling a 6).

Model method

Step 1

There are 6 equally likely outcomes.

Step 2

Only one outcome is a 6.

Step 3

P(6) = 16.
