Prontia Maths beta

Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2 June 2026

This notice explains the intended handling of personal information during the Prontia Maths beta. It must be reviewed as advertising, email campaigns, payment services or a wider public launch are introduced.

1. Information collected during the beta

The current beta account form asks for a display name, an account email, an age band and, where appropriate, a parent or guardian email. It also records whether optional Prontia Maths news and offers have been requested.

Firebase Authentication is used to provide secure account login. If Google sign-in is used, Google is also involved in the login process. Signed-in learning progress, saved resources and profile settings are synced through Firestore. Browser storage keeps an offline copy on the device.

2. Why information is requested

Account details are requested to provide secure login. Learning information is used to personalise the student area and restore progress across signed-in devices.

Promotional email consent is separate and optional. When a learner is under 18, optional promotional updates are routed to the parent or guardian contact entered during setup.

3. Children's privacy

Prontia Maths is designed with learners in mind. High privacy should be the default. Learners should not upload sensitive information or use a full legal name as their public display name.

For an under-13 learner, a parent or guardian must authorise beta account setup. A formal data protection impact assessment and age-appropriate design review are required before registrations are actively promoted.

4. Future services

Vercel Web Analytics is used to measure anonymous website traffic without using cookies. Prontia Maths is connecting Google AdSense so that advertising can be reviewed and introduced carefully. Where advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies where permitted.

Consent choices must be presented where required before non-essential advertising technologies are used. Learner-facing advertising settings and this notice must be reviewed before adverts are made active.

Before email marketing software, payment providers or other additional third-party services are enabled, this notice must be updated to identify the providers, the data shared, the purpose, the lawful basis and the retention period.

5. Your choices

Optional marketing emails can be declined during setup and changed later in the student profile. Future marketing emails must include a simple unsubscribe route.

Clearing the website's browser storage removes locally saved device preferences. Signed-in learning progress can be restored from Firestore. Account deletion requests can be started from the student profile page or sent to privacy@prontiamaths.com.

6. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@prontiamaths.com. This mailbox must be activated before public beta registrations are promoted.
