Worked example
A particle has 𝑢 = 4 𝑚/𝑠, 𝑎 = 3 𝑚/𝑠² and 𝑡 = 5 s. Find 𝑣
1. Use 𝑣 = 𝑢 + 𝑎𝑡
2. Substitute 𝑢 = 4, 𝑎 = 3 and 𝑡 = 5
3. 𝑣 = 4 + 3 × 5 = 19 𝑚/𝑠
Answer: 19 𝑚/𝑠
